how to recover shift deleted files

Every computer user can not avoid to deleted some important files accidentally, and then he or she want to get these deleted files back. Usually, after a computer user carelessly delete some important files and intend to get them back, he or she always open the recycle bin and look for these deleted files in the recycle bin, if the computer user is fortunate, he or she can find these deleted files and restore these deleted files to the orignial place. However, if a computer user deleted some important files by pressing shift + deleted hot key, the computer user is not so fortunate, when he or she open the recycle bin and look for in the recycle bin, he or she will can not find these deleted files in the recycle bin. So, is there a way to recover shift deleted files? Before we discover the answer of the question, let us learn what happens when we delete some files.

What Happens When A Computer User Delete Some Files

In fact, when a computer user delete some files, Microsoft Windows doesn't move these deleted files to the recycle bin. Instead, these deleted files still stay the original place but their directory entries are removed and placed in a 'Recycled' direcotry that is a hidden system folder of Windows operating system. In addition, these deleted files are renamed, their original names and locations are stored in a hidden index file which is called INFO. When a computer user open the recycle bin and click 'Restore' menu item to recover some deleted files, these original path are read from the INFO file and then Windows rename these deleted files to their original names and restore their directory entries. So, you can see these files in their original place again.

What Happens After A Computer User Press 'Shift + Delete'

After a computer user press shift delete to delete some files, Windows doesn't send these deleted files to the recycle bin, it directly delete these files, so we can not find these deleted files in the recycle bin. However, we still have a chance to recover these deleted files that were deleted by pressing shift delete.

In fact, when the operating system deletes a file, all it really does is mark the space on the hard disk that your file occupies as free space. All data of the file still there, these data are not erased by the operating system at once, but the operating system is now perfectly happy to write new data on top of it, that means if you deleted some important files by pressing shift delete, you should do as little computing as possible until you find these files you are looking for, since every time you save a new file, it may damage data of these deleted files, and your chances of recovering these deleted files go down.
